What Must Happen Must Happen

Waking this morning I held an evil premonition

Dispelling the thought all day was my mission

Come midday, I thought all was clear

Then something happened, confirming my fear

I didn't want it to go this way, or happen now

But I know, one day, to the inevitable I must bow
