Jealousy
It eats at me
Makes me restless
Even though
I trust you so
Lowered my defenses
I love you
Oh so true
And I think you love me
Why can't my mind
Be nice and kind
And just leave me be?

Happy Mess
A poem inspired by random little feelings at 3AM.
You're my best friend
We've been through a lot
I think it was once love
And for each other we fought
I've seen you in high times
I've seen you through lows
Fell head over heels
And boy did it show
You're moving on now
And though there is pain
I'm happy that you're happy
And I'd do it all again

Writing
Writing words has such power
Power to get us through
Power to let us see
Think of what it could do
When you see what it does for me
Writing lets me sort my feelings
Count my blessings
Find my courage
And calm my soul
Writing does this for me
And it can do it for you
Because it has power
Power to see us through

White Stemmed Rose
White stemmed rose; dew drips off your bright red lip.
Placed between olive tree and the sun,
in all minds but one,
your beauty may slip.
They may find your eyes cold, dirty and dun.
And they may see you lacking in soul,
or laugh at your failures and shun your gain.
And they may find your look quite bland and dull,
or they may cross your glares or call you vain.
but in the mind of that one,
they think lies.
You have more beauty than a phoenix down.
With wonder and shine aglow in your eyes,
happiness and peace with you I have found.
So sweet rose, fight against the forceful air
until I pick you for my own heart's care.
I.L.Y.I.L.U.
I live on violets.
Every youth outlasting us in life.
Our victories ethereal; unknowingly submerged.
